Free H1N1 Flu Clinic at African American History Event in Perris (Posted Feb. 22)

WHAT: Riverside County Department of Public Health H1N1 flu clinic at African American History Month Parade and Expo in Perris

OPEN TO: Everyone, especially those in the following priority groups: anyone 6 months to 24 years old, caregivers of infants less than six months old, pregnant women, health care and emergency service workers and adults age 25 to 64 with chronic medical conditions

COST: Free

WHEN: 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, February 27

WHERE: Foss Field Park, 138 N. Perris Blvd., Perris

Free H1N1 flu shots at Riverside County malls on March 6 (Posted March 2, 2010)

Add one more item to your Saturday errand list: an H1N1 flu shot.

Free flu shots will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at malls in Riverside, Cabazon, Temecula, Corona and Rancho Mirage.

"We're taking flu shots to the people," said Dr. Eric Frykman, Riverside County's public health officer.

Flu shots will be offered at the following malls:

         Riverside Plaza, 3545 Central Ave., Riverside, across the street from the movie theaters.  Radio Lazer 101.7 will be on hand for a live broadcast. The radio station will be handing out free promotional items.

         Cabazon Outlets, 48750 Seminole Dr., Cabazon, in front of the Information Center.

         Promenade Temecula, 40820 Winchester Road, in front of the movie theaters.

         The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos, 2780 Cabot Dr., Corona, next to White House Black Market and behind Trader Joe's.

         The River at Rancho Mirage, 71-800 Highway 111, Rancho Mirage, next to the Verizon store.

The Cabazon, Corona and Rancho Mirage clinics will be held indoors. The Riverside and Temecula clinics are scheduled to be held outdoors and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Please visit www.rivcoph.org/h1n1 for the latest information.

Meanwhile, the H1N1 vaccine continues to be available for free at the county's 10 family centers. The family care centers are open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Centers are located in Banning, Corona, Hemet, Indio, Jurupa, Lake Elsinore, Palm Springs, Perris, Riverside and Rubidoux.

Two H1N1 Flu Clinics Set for Saturday (Posted Feb. 8, 2010)

Free H1N1 flu shots will be given out Saturday (Feb. 13) at the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival in Indio and Black History Expo in Riverside.

The H1N1 flu clinic at the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Taj Mahal Building.

To get vaccinated, people must pay to get into the fair. For admission prices and more fair information visit: www.datefest.org.

The Black History Expo clinic is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the downtown Riverside pedestrian mall between 10th Street and Mission Inn Boulevard. There is no cost to attend the event.

Both clinics are being organized by the Riverside County Department of Public Health.

Meanwhile, the vaccine continues to be available for free at the county’s 10 family care centers.

The centers are open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, the clinics will be closed Friday (Feb. 12) and Monday (Feb. 15) because of holidays.
